Czy ciężko Ci się zmotywować w trakcie czerwca? Może ten cytat wzbudzi w Tobie motywacje do nauki lub pracy:
"Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago"
Ten cytat został wypowiedziany przez Warrena Buffetta. Jakich dwóch różnych czasów użył on w tym zdaniu? Jak można przetłumaczyć te czasowniki na język polski?
I completely agree. The myth of the „self-made” person should be just that, a myth. Steve Jobs helped invent the IPhone, but could he have done that had Alexander Graham Bell not invented the telephone. Or if Al Gore hadn’t invented the Internet (that’s a joke). Or if someone had not paved roads or invented paper or built cars or planes or so many of the great inventions that there are. Of course not!
You cannot give birth to yourself. You cannot raise yourself. You cannot create anything without help.
This reminds me of something that American comedian Joe Rogan had said, and I’ll put it into my own words, but he basically said that smart people think they are smart when they are really just piggybacking on what other people are done. His litmus test is „let me put you in the woods with nothing but a hammer and then you send me an email.” It couldn’t be done because we don’t know how to do that. Someone did though and we are all benefiting from it.
That’s a long winded answer to this quote but like most things, Buffet knows how to do it better than the rest of us!
Mój ojciec zasadził drzewo przed domem kiedy byłem małym chłopcem. Teraz moje wnuki bawią się w jego cieniu. Mądre słowa.
